🎓 PhD Position Available | Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials 📍 Centre of Polymer Systems, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic 🗓️ Academic Year 2026–2027
We’re looking motivated PhD candidates to join the exciting PhD thesis programs and work under the supervision of Dr. Raghvendra Singh Yadav (Senior Scientist & Team Leader).
🔬 Research Focus: Advanced nanocomposites for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielding and Microwave Absorption — with multifunctional applications spanning Energy and Healthcare.
📚 Available PhD Thesis Topics:
- AI-enabled nanocomposites for EMI shielding & electro/photo-thermal properties
- Next-gen asymmetric multi-layered polymer nanocomposites (harsh-environment tolerant)
- 3D-printed polymer nanocomposites for superior EMI shielding
- Cement nanocomposites for broadband EM wave absorption in smart infrastructure
- Smart fabrics/textiles nanocomposites for controllable low-reflection EMI shielding
- Advanced rubber nanocomposites for EMI shielding
✅ What You’ll Do:
- Design & fabricate nanomaterials /nanocomposites
- Characterize advanced nanocomposites
- Publish in high-impact journals & present at conferences
- Complete a PhD thesis over a 4-year program
👤 Who We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in (Applied) Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in magnetic/conducting nanomaterials, 2D nanostructures, or polymer nanocomposites
- Excellent English communication skills
- Independent, research-driven, and collaborative mindset
- Prior publication record is a plus

Since all internships/traineeships at Tomas Bata University in Zlin (TBU) are exclusively designed for students, we can only accept applications from individuals who hold active student status.
