Senior Scientist, Independent Research Group Leader and Assist. Professor

Raghvendra Singh Yadav was born in India. He completed his Master Degree in Physics at University of Allahabad (India), where he also received his PhD degree in 2011. Presently, he is a Senior Scientist and Leader of a Scientifically Independent Research Group on “Two-dimensional nanostructures (Graphene, MXene, Borophene, transition metal dichalcogenides, etc.) based Innovative Functional Nanocomposites and Their Advanced Applications” in Research Direction- Nanomaterials and Advanced Technologies at Centre of Polymer Systems, Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic from 1 October 2017 to up to today. He also holds an Assistant Professorship ( from1 April 2017 ) at the University Institute, Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic. He has published more than 80 publications in reputed international journals which have received 3850 citations with an h-index 34.

Dr.Anju

Anju was born in India. She received her Master’s degree in Applied Physics from Amity University, Noida, India in 2017. She obtained her PhD degree in Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials at Center of Polymer Systems, Tomas Bata University in Zlin, in 2024. In September 2024, she joined as Postdoc. Her research focuses on heterostructured nanocomposites for electromagnetic interference shielding application.

PhD Students
Vanamoorthy Mariappan, M.Sc.

Vanamoorthy Mariappan was born in India. He completed his master’s degree in physics from Bharathiar University, India, in 2019. He was engaged as a Research Fellow at PSG Institute of Advanced Studies in India (from August 2019). He completed his master’s project, entitled “Thermoelectric Properties of CoSb3’’. In November 2021, he joined Prof. Raghvendra Singh Yadav’s group. His research focuses on the advanced cement nanocomposites for microwave absorption applications.

Nithiya Hanna Wilson, M.Sc.

Nithiya Hanna Wilson was born in India. She completed a Master of Science in Chemistry at Central University of Tamil Nadu, India, in 2017 and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (2012- 2015) from Stella Maris College, Chennai, India. She has research experience in the field of polymer chemistry as her MSc thesis was on the “Synthesis and characterization of linear polystyrene – polyvinylpyridine diblock copolymers using RAFT technique”. She had done a project during her BSc on the topic “Synthesis and characterization of silver nanoparticles by different methods”. She also worked as a Scientific/Technical Assistant in CSIR, under Ministry of Science and Technology, India. Nithiya started her PhD studies in February 2022 and joined Prof. Raghvendra Singh Yadav’s group to work on advanced multi-layer nanocomposites for electromagnetic interference shielding applications.

Shubhangi Basayya Swami, M.Sc.

Shubhangi Basayya Swami was born in India. She did a postgraduate degree in Nanoscience and Technology (MSc.) at Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India, in 2020. She has research experience in the field of electrochemistry—optimization and upgrading supercapacitors for a year at the National Chemical Laboratory, India. She worked on an “Additive Manufacturing based low-cost optical computing chips” project contributing towards the required Nanomaterials synthesis, composite making, and 3D printing at the Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology, Pune, India. Subsequently, in February 2024, she joined the Centre of Polymer Systems, Tomas Bata University in Zlin, as a Ph.D. candidate and affiliated with Prof. Raghvendra Singh Yadav’s group. Her research focuses on the spinel cobaltite nanoparticles based nanocomposites and its advanced applications.

Gomathi Rangaraj, B.Sc.

Gomathi Rangaraj was final year student of the M.Sc Physics program at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore, India. She joined as Master’s thesis/internship student (Jan 2025-Mar2025) with Prof. Raghvendra Singh Yadav’s group to work on synthesis, characterization and physical properties of nanoparticles.

Anju, M.Sc.

Anju received her Master’s degree in Applied Physics from Amity University, Noida, India in 2017. She joined with Prof. Raghvendra Singh Yadav’s group at Center of Polymer Systems, Tomas Bata University in Zlin, in 2020 as a Ph.D student in Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials. Her research interest was mainly focused on spinel ferrite and graphene-based polymer nanocomposites for electromagnetic interference shielding. She published more than 5 publications in reputed international journals in the field of materials science and nanotechnology. She received her PhD degree in June 2024. Thereafter, she is continuing as a postdoc with Prof. Raghvendra Singh Yadav’s group.
